Your daily nutrition needs improvements in a form of vitamins and minerals that can be found in fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh squeezed juices, smoothies and shakes are the best way to supply your organism with all needed nutrients. The immune system especially needs beta carotene, vitamin C, D and E as well as folic acid, manganese, iron and zinc. The stronger the immune system the faster you will get through seasonal colds and viral infections.

The immune system is the difference between people that are constantly sick and those that never get any disease. So if you are sick most of the time it is probably because your immune system is weak. Even though none of us is born with a strong immune system there is a way you can strengthen it and make it functional.

Fresh drinks made of fresh fruits and vegetables are the best way to boost the immune system. You can mix everything in it, depending on what minerals and vitamin you need. We give you here few ideas for a smoothie that can boost your immune system.

Kiwi and honey

You need 3 kiwis, 1 banana, 1 tablespoon of honey and a juice of 1 grapefruit. Put all in a blender and mix until you get smooth drink.

Kiwi is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin A and. it also contains potassium and dietary fiber.  Honey on the other side is nature’s best medicine with strong antibiotic and antiseptic effects. Honey also improves the organism’s ability to produce antibodies that help organism fight infections.

Spinach and grapefruit

Put 1 grapefruit, 1 apple, 2 cups of spinach, 1 banana and ½ cup of orange juice in a blender and mix until its well combined.   

100 grams of fresh spinach will give you about half of your vitamin C daily need. This vitamin is strong antioxidant that will strengthen your immune system and prevent any disease.

Orange and carrot

You need 2 carrots, 1 orange, ½ lemon and ½ cup of coconut milk. Clean and cut and put all in a blender. Mix until you get homogenized smooth drink.

Vitamin C that this smoothie contains will help your white blood cells to fight infections which is the natural way the immune system works. Beta carotene which is the source of vitamin A will also improve the functioning of the immune system. if you drink carrot juice every day you will lower the risk of heart diseases and since vitamin A  helps the formation of membranes that keep the organs protected from pathogens.

Grapefruit, orange and lemon

You need: ½ grapefruit, 1 orange, and juice of ½ a lemon, ½ glass of water, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of grated flaxseeds.

Mix all in a blender until it becomes smooth drink.

Lemon has strong antibacterial and anti-virus properties, thanks to high content of vitamin C. this smoothie is rich in citric acid, calcium, magnesium and pectin and will strengthen your immune system as well as balance the pH of the body.

Green smoothie

You need: 1 cup of spinach, 100 grams of fresh cucumber, 2 kiwis, ¼  of an avocado, ½ teaspoon of ginger, juice of 1 lemon and 1 orange and a glass of water. Put everything in a blender and mix until you get smooth drink.

Besides vitamin C, calcium and fiber this smoothie contains avocado which is rich in omega 3 fatty acids that are key to healthy organism especially heart and blood vessels.
